This is my personal site. I built it to answer questions about my work and to make it easy to find time with me, and I try to collect as little as possible while doing that. Here is exactly what happens.

Chatting with my agent

  • Your messages go to my server and on to Google's Gemini API, which generates the replies. Google processes them under its Gemini API terms.
  • I don't keep a database of conversations. A chat session is held in my server's memory only so the agent can follow the thread, and it disappears when the server restarts or goes to sleep.
  • To prevent abuse, the server counts requests per IP address in memory for a few minutes (rate limiting). Those counts aren't stored anywhere.

Booking a meeting

  • When you ask to meet, the agent checks my availability through Calendly. Nothing about you is sent to Calendly for that.
  • If you confirm a time, the agent creates an event on my Google Calendar with your name, your email, and the meeting title, and Google emails you the invitation. That event stays on my calendar like any other meeting.

Feedback

If you use the feedback form, your message (and your name and email, if you add them) is emailed to me, along with the page you sent it from. It isn't stored anywhere else.

Cookies and tracking

  • Page views are counted with Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and does not build a profile of you. A view includes the page, the referrer, an approximate location, and the device and browser. Vercel drops the session hash after 24 hours. There are no ads.
  • Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser's local storage.
  • Signing in with Google is only for me (it unlocks a read-only view of my own calendar and email). If you sign in anyway, a session cookie holds your name, email, and photo for up to 7 days, nothing else is unlocked, and your Google access token is not kept.
  • Fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google sees a request from your browser.

Hosting logs

The site is hosted on Vercel and the agent's server on Render. Like any host, they keep standard request logs (such as IP address, time, and page requested) under their own retention policies. I use those logs only to keep the site running and secure.

Your choices

Ask me what I have about you, or ask me to delete it (for example, a meeting you booked or feedback you sent), and I will. Email jaiadityarathore@gmail.com.
